This Privacy Policy explains what information LoyalTails collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using LoyalTails, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name or display name, email address (via Google or email sign-in).
- Pet profile: optional details you choose to add — pet's name, type, breed, gender, age.
- Location: an approximate location you provide to find nearby pet parents. For privacy, exact coordinates are blurred before they're shared with other members.
- Content: posts, replies, and messages you send.
- Usage data: basic technical information needed to run the Platform securely.
2. How we use it
- To run the community — showing your posts, connecting you with nearby members, enabling chat.
- To provide the AI companion's responses to your questions.
- To keep the community safe and enforce our guidelines.
- To notify you of important updates about the Platform.
3. What we share — and what we don't
- Your display name, pet highlights, and approximate area are visible to other members — that's how the community works.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We share data with service providers who help us run the Platform (for example, secure hosting and authentication), and when required by law.
- Your exact location and contact details are never shown publicly.
4. Your choices and rights
- You can edit or remove your pet profile details at any time.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
- You can stop sharing your location, though some "nearby" features won't work without it.
5. Data security
We use reputable, secure infrastructure and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
6. Children
LoyalTails is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.
